SETUP
The DMP-103RDS can either be operated via the buttons on the front panel or via the remote control.
Remote control
1)
When actuating a button, always direct the remote control towards the sensor. There must be no
obstacles between remote control and the sensor.
2)
If the range of the remote control decreases, the batteries are probably exhausted and must be
replaced.
Switching on
1)
Switch on the DMP-103RDS with the power button.
2)
The display shows the receiving frequency last selected. If a program is transmitted in stereo, the
indication ST appears in the display.
3)
The CD player will automatically detect if a CD is inserted. If an audio CD is inserted, the display will
shortly indicate the total number of titles and the total remain time followed by information concerning
the first title after the read-in. For MP3 CDs the total number of folders and titles of the first folder will
shortly be displayed. If no CD is inserted NoDisc will be displayed.
Tuner operation
Station tuning
To store stations, 30 storage locations are available in the FM range and 30 further storage locations in the
AM range.
1)
Switch to FM reception (indication FM) or AM reception (indication AM) with the button AM/FM.
2)
Long actuation of the button TUNING [+] (forwards) or TUNING [‒] (reverse) starts automatic station
finding. The station finding stops as soon as a station is found. Start the station finding so many times
until the desired station will be received.
3)
For manual fine tuning, shortly press the button TUNING [+] or [‒] to increase or reduce the received
frequency step by step.
Storing stations
1)
Tune to a station as described in the previous section.
2)
Press the button MEMORY. The station number is indicated in the display.
3)
Select the storage location (the station number) for the station tuned in steps with the buttons STATION
[+] and [‒].
4)
Press the button MEMORY again to complete the storage procedure. The display shortly inserts OK.
Automatic station memory
Stations with good reception can also be stored with the automatic station memory. Pressing the button
AUTO SCAN
starts the automatic station memory. The automatic station memory will be running forward and
store six stations in the memory. Stations will only be stored in the selected band.
Calling stored stations
1)
To call a stored station, select the corresponding band with the button AM or FM and press the station
button of the station. By pressing the 5 the unit will advance 5 stations. For direct selection of
place 5 shortly press button +5 once, for place 10 shortly press button +5 twice. For places 6 to 9
shortly press 5 and then the corresponding station button.
2)
Stations can also be called with the buttons STATION or SKIP [+] and [‒]. [‒] selects the previous
station number and the button [+] selects the next station number.
3)
For muting the sound, press the button MUTE (indication MUTE). To switch on the sound again, press
the button MUTE once again.
