11-1 Error Processing
Error Indicators and
Outputs
When an error has occurred, the ERR indicator on the front panel of the High-
speed Counter Unit will be lit, the Error Flag (word n+6 bit 15) will be set to 1,
and the error code will be output to n+7.
If more than one error has occurred, the next error code will be output to n+7
when word n bit 06 is turned ON.
Repeatedly turn word n bit 06 OFF and ON until all the error codes are output.
The High-speed Counter Unit stores a maximum of 30 error codes. An error
code will be stored whenever an error occurs.
When a counter overflow has occurred, the ERR indicator will be lit and word
n+6 bit 04 or 12 will be set to 1.
No Error Flag or error code will be output when a counter overflow has
occurred. Reset the counter if a counter overflow has occurred.
When an error has occurred while the High-speed Counter Unit is operating,
the error code will be output to n+7 automatically. When more than one error
has occurred while the High-speed Counter Unit is in operation, only a single
error code will be output to n+7 unless the High-speed Counter Unit is trans-
ferring data.
If errors have occurred, refer to the error location and error codes to remedy
the error.
Word n+7 will be set to 0 when all error codes stored in the High-speed
Counter Unit are read.
The error codes are output again in sequence beginning with the first error
code if word n bit 06 is reset to 1.
