After the screws have been removed, open the cover by pulling it up and
forward with a finger.

Insert the Memory Card all the way in. (As this is done, the eject button will
pop out.)
Note
Tighten the cover to a force of 0.9 N.
Removing a Memory Card
Press the eject button to remove the Memory Card. To prevent the Memory
Card from popping out and falling, hold the Memory Card with your index fin-
ger while pushing the eject button with your middle finger.

Replacing the System Program
The system program in the PT can be replaced or upgraded to a higher ver-
sion. There are two methods that can be used to replace the system program.
• Using a recovery/upgrade program
• Transferring system program data
Note
(1) The system program must be version 8.0 or higher to be installed.
(2) Consult your OMRON representative if a system program of a version
lower than 8.0 is to be installed.
(3) Use the recovery/update program to install the system program.
Using a Recovery/
Upgrade Program
Replace the system program if the system program becomes corrupted and
the NSH5 will not start or to upgrade the system program in the NSH5.
For details on the replacing the system program by using the recovery/update
program, select

to recover the system program.
