Insert a fresh battery into the UPS as far as it will go

Secure clockwise the screw at the right upper side of the battery pack

Put the battery connecting cable plug in the receptacle of the UPS until it snaps on.
A spark may occur but it does not indicate failure.

Hold and insert the lugs of front panel into the slots of the UPS

, slide the front panel to the right

and secure two screws clockwise at the left side of the front panel.

Write the replacement date on the label at
the top of the UPS.
•
In a case where you use the UPS monitoring
software, input the replacement date of the
new battery.
•
After the replacement of the battery, press
the Start switch for over 20 seconds, and
carry out the self-diagnostic test at the time
of replacement of the battery. You will not
hear a beep for the first 10 seconds, and
eventually you will hear the beep every 10
seconds. When the beep started to sound
continuously, turn off the Start switch. That
completes the replacement of the battery.
Note
Discard the battery after replacing.
* If you keep it for a long time, dilute sulfuric acid may leak from the old battery.
