Channel Scanning

To start the channel SCAN function:
•  Press the MENU button

 five times

, until the channel number 

and the SC icon will blink on the LCD. 

•  Press the CH UP or CH DOWN buttons to start automatic 

channel scanning. 

•  Scanning will stop automatically when a signal is detected on 

one channel, in order to listen to the communication. It will 
restart when no more signal is detected on that channel. 

•  If you press the PTT or LOCK buttons during the scanning 

operation, scanning will stop automatically and the radio will set 
the last used channel.

CTCSS Tone Scanning

This function allows CTCSS tone scanning on the selected channel:
•  Select the desired channel number, the CTCSS tone scanning 

will be activated on this channel.

•  Press the MENU button

 six times

, until the CTCSS tone 

number and the SC icon start flashing on the LCD.

•  Press the CH UP or CH DOWN buttons to start the automatic 

CTCSS tone scanning on the selected channel; the SC icon will 
illuminate on the LCD. 

•  Scanning will automatically stop when a signal is detected on 

the active channel, in order to listen to the communication on 
that channel. It will restart when no more signal is detected on 
that channel.

•  If you press the PTT or LOCK buttons during the scanning 

operation, scanning will stop automatically and the radio will 
return to the last used channel.
