Connecting the C-733
—Continued
Use the supplied analog audio cable to connect the
C-733’s ANALOG OUT L/R jacks to the analog input
jacks on the amplifier, as shown.
To use the
system functions, use the supplied
cable to make an
connection.
Note
• The C-733 has two
jacks. They’re both the same,
so you can use either one.
• To use
, you must make an analog audio connec-
tion between the C-733 and the other component.
• Use only dedicated
cables for
connections.
• If you use the C-733 with other components from the
Onkyo Separate Collection, refer to the instruction
manuals supplied with the A-933 as well.
.
If your amplifier or recorder has an optical digital audio
input, you can enjoy digital playback or recording.
Use an optical digital audio cable to connect one of the
C-733’s OPTICAL DIGITAL OUT jacks to an optical
digital input jack on the amplifier or recorder, as shown.
Before Making any Connections
• Always refer to the instructions that came with the
component that you are connecting.
• Do not plug in the power cord until all connec-
tions have been properly made.
• Do not bind audio cables with power cords and
speaker cables. Doing so may adversely affect the
sound quality.
Optical Digital Jacks
The optical digital jacks are fitted with protective
caps. Before connecting a cable, remove the cap and
keep it safely. When you disconnect the cable, put
the cap back in.
RCA Audio Connection Color Coding
• Red connectors are used for the right channel, and
white connectors are used for the left channel.
• Push each plug in all the way to make a good con-
nection (loose connections can cause noise or mal-
functions).
