Tip!
Recorded songs are
automatically numbered during
double-speed CD-to-MD
dubbing.
Notes on CD dubbing
• You cannot change the input
source.
• The
(play/pause) and
(eject) are disabled.
The TOC indicator
flashes.
TOC indicator
Information, such as track numbers, is written into the table of
contents (TOC) on the MD before you eject the MD, before the
recorder enters standby mode, or before recording is stopped.
Do not disconnect or move the power cord under the following
situations. Otherwise, the data will not be written correctly. (Also,
refer to the “When the power is down” section on the right.)
• When the TOC indicator is lit
The information to be written into the TOC is currently stored in
memory on the FR-V77.
• When the TOC indicator is flashing
The information is being written to the MD.
If the remaining time on
the MD expires and song
recording stops half way
• If only one song is being
dubbed in Album dubbing
mode, the song will be
recorded until the available
time expired.
• If multiple songs are being
dubbed in Album dubbing
mode, the partially-recorded
song will be deleted
automatically.
Checking the recording
result
After recording is complete or
you press to stop recording,
press MD
on the FR-V77
or
on the remote controller.
Playback starts from the top of
the recording.
When the power is down
If the power is down or if you
disconnect the power cord
accidentally while the TOC
indicator is lit or flashing, the
data recorded prior to power
down will be erased.
When “Retry Error”
appears
Eject the MD, insert it again,
then try recording again.
Copying a CD name
• If a CD has a name (see page 37), the name is copied to the MD during the CD-to-MD dubbing operation.
(This applies only when you are using a brand new unnamed MD.)
• If you select 1 Tr mode for CD dubbing (see page 35), the CD name is copied to an MD as the song title.
• You can check the disc and song titles by switching the display information. (See pages 17 and 19.)
