Recording CD to MD
(Synchro recording)
• After you select songs, this function
enables you to edit and record the songs.
• You can select either digital or analog
recording.
• If some data has already been recorded on
the MD, the additional songs will be
recorded and numbered sequentially
following the existing data on the MD.

Insert a CD and an MD.
See Step 1 of “Playing a CD” on page 16.

Use a recordable MD.

Check the necessary recording time.
Refer to Step 2 on page 23.

Press CD/MD repeatedly to display “CD.”

Select digital or analog recording.

Press REC to set the FR-V77 in recording
standby mode.
If the FR-V77 does not enter recording standby mode

change the setting, press REPEAT/

When you press REPEAT/YES after the FR-V77
displays “Dig–Ana?,” it starts analog recording.
When you press REPEAT/YES after the FR-V77
displays “Ana
→
Dig?,” it starts digital recording.
The FR-V77 displays “Complete,” and the settings are
complete.
Tip!
If “MD Reading” appears on the
MD information display, you
cannot perform Synchro
recording.
Tip!
The “DIGITAL” indicator lights
up on the CD information
display if digital recording has
been selected. The indicator
does not light up if analog
recording has been selected.
If the desired recording option
has been selected, proceed to
Step 5.
