Correcting and erasing a character
If the unit is not in “Name In” mode, execute Steps 1 and
2 in “Entering a name,” then follow the steps below.

Press

repeatedly until the
character you wish to correct or erase
flashes.

When correcting
Enter the desired character (or title)
following Steps 3 and 4 in “Entering a
name” on the previous page.
When erasing
Press EDIT/
CLEAR
/NO on the unit or
CLEAR on the remote controller.
To continue entering characters, follow Step 3 on the
previous page. To complete the operation, follow Step
5 on this page.

Inserting a character
If the unit is not in “Name In” mode, execute steps 1 and
2 in “Entering a name,” then follow the steps below.

character following the desired point of
insertion
flashes.

Turn MULTI JOG until “ ” appears, then
press MULTI JOG.

Enter the desired character (or title) as
per Steps 3 and 4 in “Entering a name.”
To continue entering characters, follow Step 3 on the
previous page. To complete the operation, follow Step
5 on this page.
Erasing the name assigned to a CD or MD
This will erase both the disc name and all the track
names from an MD.

Select CD or MD as the source.

Press
EDIT
/CLEAR/NO until “Name
Erase?” appears in the display.

Press REPEAT/
YES

“Complete” is displayed and the name is erased.
You may erase the name of a CD may be erased
without the CD being inserted.

wish to erase.
