4.5 Setting the power strategy
In the "High efficiency" setting, the UPS system normally works in
bypass mode. It will switch to the inverter in less than 10 ms if the
mains power fails and will switch back to bypass mode 1 minute after
the mains power has returned. The
display lights up when the
UPS system switches to bypass mode.
NOTE
HE mode is available after one minute of stable power sup-
ply.
1. Press any button to activate the menu options. Select
"SETTINGS", "USER SETTINGS" and then "POWER
STRATEGY
".
2. Select "HIGH EFFICIENCY" for high-efficiency mode or
"NORMAL" and confirm using the
button.
4.6 Configuring the bypass settings
Switch to bypass for overload:
By default, a switch to the bypass
mode will be forced if an overload occurs. You can specify the set-
tings for a delayed change of mode. The waiting time depends on
the degree of overloading (see "Table 15" under
Technical Data
).
Lower bypass voltage threshold:
By default, switching to bypass
mode is disabled if the measured bypass voltage lies 15% below the
nominal output voltage. You can specify the settings for a different
percentage of the nominal voltage. This setting can be disabled by
the "Qualify Bypass" setting.
Upper bypass voltage threshold.
By default, switching to bypass
mode is disabled if the measured output voltage lies 10% above the
measured nominal output voltage. You can specify the settings for a
different percentage of the nominal voltage. This setting can be disa-
bled by the "Qualify Bypass" setting.
