Redundancy/increase mode
The UPS systems XANTO S 6000 and 10000 facilitate both a redun-
dancy as well as increase mode.
Redundancy mode:
Redundancy mode offers double security. Two UPS systems are op-
erated in parallel as network. Should one of the UPS systems fail,
the other one takes over without interruption. Redundancy mode is
possible up to the maximum power of one UPS system (6000VA or
10000VA). If this power is exceeded, the network automatically
switches into increase mode. Increase mode is indicated by status
information in the UPS status menu.
Increase mode:
This mode facilitates the expansion of the power range; redundancy
is not provided in this case. For example, an additional XANTO S
6000 can thus be subsequently added to a XANTO S 6000 in order
to increase the total power to 12000VA.

Electrical installation redundant/increase mode
NOTE
A maximum of two UPS systems (with equal output power)
can be switched as 1+1 network.
Both UPS systems must be connected to the same mains
supply.
The UPS systems have a common line input and bypass
connection. A separate bypass connection is not possible
Each UPS system requires the same number of batteries
(internal batteries or additional battery modules)
