4.) Then remove the new battery blocks from the packaging,
position as per the batteries originally fitted in the UPS,
fasten together and make electrical connection between
the blocks.
Alternatively,
use
genuine ONLINE replacement bat-
tery.
5.) Carefully fit new battery units in the slot in the UPS system
and push in slowly to the stop. Then re-fit the retaining
plate removed previously and connect the battery connec-
tor. Pay attention to the polarity: red-red, black-black.
6.) Then re-fit the panel. During this process pay attention to
the correct seating of the plastic clips.
10.4 Function check
Please check the general function of the UPS each time main-
tenance is performed!
UPS operating state:
When the primary supply voltage is present, the UPS should
operate in the
normal mode
. In the event of a primary power
supply failure, the UPS must operate in the
battery mode
. No
fault message should be output in either case.
Changeover:
A power failure is simulated by switching off the primary power
supply. The UPS must changeover between
normal mode
and
battery mode
(see section 9.1) without problems.
After the simulation of the power failure, re-establish the pri-
mary supply of power. The UPS must then switch back from
the
battery mode
to the
normal mode
.
LED indications:
In the operating states described above, please check whether
the LED indications match the related operating mode.
