4. Introduction
ONLINE USV-Systeme AG is a leading manufacturer of unin-
terruptible power supplies (UPS). The German company has
been involved in the development, manufacture, marketing
and support of UPS systems since 1988. On the UPS market
in Germany the company's products are number one based on
number of units sold, and are respected internationally due to
their high quality and the excellent support.
The ONLINE ZINTO A series is an uninterruptible power sup-
ply (UPS) in high quality line interactive technology (classifica-
tion VI). Its sinusoidal output voltage guarantees perfect pro-
tection for sensitive loads. The loads include entry-level serv-
ers as well as telephone systems or network peripherals.
Damage to these loads as a consequence of events such as
power failures, voltage fluctuations, overvoltage / undervolt-
age, etc. is prevented.
The Buck & Boost function is worthy of special note. It inter-
rupts short power failures without even changing over to the
battery mode. Both intelligent battery management and the
usage of standardised high quality accumulators extend the
maintenance cycles for the UPS and reduce its operating
costs.
The ZINTO A series is available with rated powers of 800,
1000, 1500, 2000 and 3000VA. Its combination housing de-
sign permits vertical installation as a tower, as well and hori-
zontal installation in a rack. In this way the system can be
flexibly adapted to specific requirements, especially after a
move or system expansion.

not been expressly approved by the departments
responsible for the standard operation of the device
may render the warranty void.
