Powering Your Simulator
The TCCS Plus can be battery operated or operated using a
power cord.
When one or two batteries are installed, the power cord can be
used to charge the battery (or batteries) during operation.
During this process, the power button blinks to indicate the
average charge available from the battery or batteries: one (1)
blink indicates that the batteries hold an average charge of
25%, two (2) blinks indicates 50%, and three (3) blinks indicate
75%.
When securing the power cord to the simulator’s power outlet, push the plug into the receptacle and
turn the threaded cylinder to hold the power cord in place.
Note that the power connection on the Female simulator is located on the right shoulder, and on the
male simulator, the connection is located beside the battery compartment in the right thigh.
The simulator must be powered by either a battery or the power cord to operate. During a simulation, if
a battery is running low on power, a second (charged) battery can be attached to maintain the
simulator’s operation in a process known as “hot swapping.” Once the charged battery is attached, the
battery with low power can be removed. In a similar way, the power cord can also be connected while
batteries are removed and recharged without loss of operation.
