Replacing the Sternal Insert
The sternal insert used for non-infusing practice in sternal intraosseous can be replaced at the user’s
discretion when the needle does not stick firmly due to multiple holes in close proximity.

The sternal insert is accessed by unzipping and pulling the torso jacket down to reveal the sternum.
Remove the used sternal insert and replace it with a new insert. Pull the torso jacket back up and secure it
using the zipper.
Replacing the Humeral Cap
The humeral cap insert used for non-infusing practice in humeral intraosseous is replaced at the user’s
discretion when the needle does not stick firmly due to multiple holes in close proximity.

The humeral cap insert is accessed by unzipping and pulling the torso jacket down to reveal the shoulder
(upper part of the humerus). Remove the used humeral cap insert and replace it with a new insert. Pull the
torso jacket back up and secure it using the zipper.
