5.2.4.1. Primary Filter Change
The Primary Filter Change Indicator
signals that the prefilters need to be
changed. These are accessed by lifting
and turning the latch and opening the
panel on the top-front of the unit.
1.
Open the top-front panel with the unit
operating.
2.
Replace the 1” thick coarse particulate
filter in the top slot (Figure 5-8).
3.
Close the door flush against the
cabinet and close the latch.
4.
If the Primary Filter Change Indicator
light is still on, open the panel again and replace the 2” thick pleated filter in
the second slot. Close the panel and latch.
The top compartment has a third slot, meant for an optional carbon filter. This
filter is not needed for the Eagle.
5.2.4.2. HEPA Filter Change
1.
Turn off and unplug the unit.
2.
Remove the lower front panel, held on
by 8 Phillips screws along the front.
3.
Loosen the retaining bolts (1/2”
wrench) to lower the V-shaped
platform that the HEPA filter rests on.
4.
Replace the HEPA filter. Verify that the
new filter is centered on the V-shaped
platform, and that the side with the
foam seal faces up.
5.
Tighten the retaining bolts to press the
filter against the top of its housing,
then close the lower front panel.
