6. REMOTE
MICROPHONE
PM-5Z
This remote microphone station can select 5 individual zones and play pre-announce chime. It should be
connected by FTP CAT5. Maximum distance is 300 m.
When remote microphone is used it has VOX priority over all other audio inputs and zones selected in
amplifier’s front panel are replaced by the ones selected in the microphone. Once call is finished amplifier
comes back to previous status.
Zone Keys:
Press zone keys to select broadcast zones.
Chime:
Press Chime key to broadcast a chime tone to selected zones.
Talk:
Press Talk key to activate selected zones and open microphone’s audio channel. This operation does
not override other channels automatically since priority is by VOX level. Release the key to deactivate the
zones.
Volume:
Use the microphone rear panel volume to adjust voice and chime audio at the same time. To adjust
Chime volume only, use the volume control placed next to REMOTE MIC input in the amplifier rear panel.
Lock-Unlock:
Use this switch to lock selected zones. To lock the zones, select desired ones and then set the
switch to “Lock” position.
