5.2  Operation of the control panel

Turn on Main power  switch  (10),  the  indicator lights;  the  instrument  enters  state of working
preparation.  Turn  on  power  for  light  source  and  let  the  cooling  fan  start.,  push  the  left
Brightness  regulative  button  (11)

on  the  panel,  the  brightness  of  cold  light  source  increases

step  by  step.  According  to  the  brightness  requirement  of  the  operation  doctor,  regulate  light
brightness.

Oblique illumination and coaxial illumination can be used at the same time.

5.3  Operation of the frame

Loosen the locking knob (5), (18), (20) and (23), the head should be roughly arranged in the
scope of vision based on the distance and height of the patient. After coarse adjustment, it is
necessary to fix all the locking knob.
Through  electric  focusing  mechanics,  distinct  image  can  be  seen.  Till  this  process,  the
microscope is ready for operation.

5.4

Operation of the microscope head

The  operation  of  microscope  with  steeples  zooming  system  is  different  from  step  focusing
microscope.  Before  operation,  the  operator  should  do  as  follows:  First,  adjust  eyepieces’
diopter  according  to  the  operator’s  diopter,  and  then  set  the  microscope  in  highest
magnification  location,  with  left  eye  or  right  eye  observe  the  picture  in  the  optical  path  and
adjust focal length electrically to make picture more clear, then, put it in lowest magnification
location. If picture is not clear now, adjust eyepiece until the picture become clear. Repeat such
operation 2~3 times till images at high and low magnifications become distinct. Then, regulate
the other eyepiece as the same way. At this time the operator should remember the diopter of
two eyepieces of this location. For next operation the operator should only adjust the diopter to
that location and need not repeat the above-mentioned processes.

5.5  After operation

Turn  down  the  brightness  to  the  lowest  location  by  push  the  right  Brightness
regulative button (11) on the control panel step by step;

Operate the Foot controller (1), be sure that the head back to the middle location;

Power off;

Turn  back  the  covers  of  big  objective  lens  and  eyepieces  and  fold  the  instrument
frame back, and cover the dustproof coat.

5.6  Replacing the bittern tungsten lamps

There is a spare cold light source in the translation arm.  If bittern tungsten lamp is burnt out
suddenly in operation, you can pull out this lamp immediately together with lamp frame from
the top of transversal arm, pull out the spare cold light source and insert it into the location of
the lamp frame to be changed. Continuous operation will begin if turning on the lamp.
As  shown  in  Fig.17,  when  changing  the  lamp,  it  is  necessary  to  take  down  the  socket  for
bittern  tungsten  lamp  first  and  then  put  a  good  lamp  12V/100W  into  the  location  already
empted,  connect  the  power  socket  and  put  the  lamp  frame  into  the  spare  part  location.  The
operator should always keep the spare lamp good.

Notice:  The  lamp  that  just  burnt  out  should  not  be  changed  at  once,  in  order  to

avoid injuring for hot.
