Follow the procedure in this section to activate a volume.
To Activate a Volume (From an OS)
1.
Go to the Oracle support area of the LSI web site (
SAS2IRCU
utility, and issue the
sas2ircu
command, with no options, at the command-line or at a terminal window.
2.
To display a synopsis of the
SAS2IRCU
utility command-line arguments, issue the
sas2ircu 0 activate
command.
3.
To obtain the controller ID, issue the
sas2ircu list
command.
4.
To obtain the volume ID, issue the
sas2ircu
controller-ID
display
command.
The volume is now activated, and can be used by the HBA.
