Verify the CMC Status
You can use the
clia shmstatus
command to check the status of the CMCs.
1. Identify the prerequisite and subsequent tasks you must perform in
conjunction with this procedure, to install the switch.
See the table in
“Installation Sequence” on page 20
.
2. On the CMC, type:
If the output displays
Host: Inactive
, use the
clia switchover
command to
activate the CMC.
3. Check the status of the I
2
C bus components:
If any test failed, use the
switchover
command to activate the other CMC and
cable it for the rest of the installation process.
