Preparations for installation
Tools and equipment
You will need the following tools and equipment for the installation:
- Phillips screwdriver, size 2
- Masonry drill Ø = 8 mm
- Measuring tape/foot rule
- Spirit level
- Pencil
- Stable stepladder
- Activated carbon filter for circulating air mode
- Exhaust air hose for extraction mode
- Wall plugs (6x)
- Fixing screws (6x)
Important!
We recommend asking a second person to assist you with the
installation. Please observe the order of the installation instructions.
Risk of injury!
Please note that some parts of the chimney sections may have sharp
edges.
Remove the protective films
The surfaces of your new extraction hood may be covered with films to protect
them from being scratched during transport. Only remove the protective films
immediately before final attachment of the extraction hood.
Only for extraction mode
Before installation of the hood, wall breakthrough (core drilling, diameter
dependent on hose diameter) must be carried out by a specialist firm.
During planning of wall breakthrough, pay attention to the length of the exhaust
air hose. The exhaust air hose must be sufficiently long to reach the outside edge
of the wall without any kinks.
Important!
If the exhaust air hose is routed through an external wall, the
air discharge must be covered on the outside using a cover with
automatically opening slots (not in the scope of delivery). For this,
commission the specialist firm that makes the wall breakthrough.
