HST Oil inspection , change and refill (GRH537Pro Only )
Replace oil after the first 50 hours of operation and after approximately every 100 hours thereafter.
If you are unsure about how to change HST oil, please consult your purchasing dealer.
Special maintenance techniques are required. Only those with appropriate knowledge and expertise
should do the following. If even a small amount of oil or dust enters in to the HST, the unit could be
damaged. Please make sure the machine is in clean condition when you change the oil.
Make sure to clean around the oil filler before replacing the oil cap.

HST oil, also known as hydraulic fluid, plays an important role to converting engine power to the
drive. It works as a lubricant--preventing rust-- and as a coolant. However, insufficient or
improper maintence may cause driving problems. Always use proper HST oil to replenish or
change the HST oil.

The transmission and the oil will get hot after use. Maintenance is best done
when machine is cool. Please be careful to avoid burns.
●
DO NOT mix the different types of oil. Doing so may damage the machine.
This product is shipped from the factory pre-filled with ISO 46 hydraulic (HST) oil.
1.
Take off the Mini Hex. Bolt(M6) and remove
the Transmission cover.
2.
Close the fuel valve. Push the machine
on to its right side
3.
Take off Mini Hex.Bolt(M10) with 14mm
wrench.Never loosen the other bolt. As this
so may cause damage to transmission.
4.
Push the machine on to its right side to
drain the HST oil. Re-tighten the Hex bolt.
5.
clean around the oil cap, so that all dust,
debris water, and oil are removed.
Never allow foreign substances to get
into the HST unit , as this may cause
damage.
6.
Loosen the red lid. Refill the hydraulic oil
until the oil level is the middle of the oil
gauge.

Firmly re-tighten the oil cap.
7.
Raise both of the rear wheels and then
drive the machine in order to remove air
bubbles.
8.
Check the oil level. Replenish the oil
with same procedure above, if the oil is
lower than the middle.

Deteriorated oil and oil sludge will build up inside the HST unit. Flushing is recommended
when changing the HST oil.
Flushing: After the steps 1 to 8 above, repeat the oil change once more to clean up the
inside of the HST unit.
