②
Mercury (such as found in a thermometer) on the case or watchband: Chemicals may
cause the watch or band to change color.
③
Tighten the band so that you can just slip one finger between the band and your wrist,
in order to allow air to circulate. Do not store the leather band in high temperature or
high humidity conditions.
(2) Cleaning the rotating bezel
Dirt may get stuck to a wristwatch with a rotating bezel and degrade its operation. Clean
off any dirt using a soft toothbrush.
(3) Recommendation for repairs and checks
①
Repairs, other than replacing the band, must be performed by the watch manufacturer.
Checking or disassembly and cleaning must also only be done by the manufacturer.
Please insist on repairs by the manufacturer at the shop where you purchased the
watch. Or, ask an Orient Watch Service Center.
②
We recommend having the watch checked once every 2 to 3 years for lubrication oil,
sweat and moisture contamination. Depending on the results, the watch may need to be
adjusted or repaired.
③
When having the watch checked, we recommend replacing the seals and other
consumable parts, in order to maintain its water-proof performance. Also, replace the
watchband as needed.
④
When parts are replaced, please insist on "genuine parts."
