COMMAND FUNCTIONS
(CW/CCW, RESET, S-STOP, START
AND SW CONTROL)
C W / C C W
The position of the CW/CCW switch determines the
direction of rotation of the motor shaft as viewed from
the mounting flange end of the motor.
RESET
The RESET push-button is used to stop the motor's
rotation at any given time and to reset the UI215GA's
internal counter to zero.
S-STOP
The S-STOP push-button is used to slow down and then
stop the motor depending on which mode the DP-01
Data Pack has been set to operate in. In mode 0 (Index)
and mode 1 (Return to Electrical Home) positions, the
motor will slow down and then stop (See timing charts
on pages 33 and 34). The move will be completed the
next time the START button is depressed.
When in mode 3 (continuous running), the motor will
slow down to the appropriate base speed and continue to
run at that speed until the RESET button is depressed.
START
The START push-button is used to begin the motor
motion. When the START button is depressed, the
microprocessor in the U1215GA will read all of the data
that has been selected with the DP-01 Data Pack,
calculate the motion profile and then start the motor's
motion. When the motor is in motion, all data switches
are ignored (except RESET and S-STOP) until the
motion has been completed and the READY light
comes "ON".
SW CONTROL
When the SW CONTROL switch is in the "OFF"
position, the CW/CCW, RESET, S-STOP and START
switches on DP-01 are disabled. This allows these func-
tions to be controlled exclusively by an external control-
ler. When the switch is in the "ON" position, these
functions will operate normally.
