5.2 HIGHWAY USE
The compactor is designed for a maximum speed of 40 km/h. Exceeding this speed is considered dan-
gerous. Furthermore, the speed must be limited according to national speed limits. Before using the
machine the operator must ensure that all covers and hatches are closed and secured.
Be aware of overhanging power lines. Max. height in transport position: 3900 (F25)
5.2.1 Transport preparation, Flexible drawbar and feed hopper F25
The levers referred to in this chapter can be found in chapter
section 4.2.3 "Lever/Controls overview"
and
. For illustrations, see
chapter 4.2.2 "Flexible drawbar and feed hopper F25"
in
reversed order.
1. Lift the bale bridge and fold it over the wrapping table.
2. Raise the wrapping table to its upper position (done from display unit, see
).
3. Lift up both flips on the feed hopper to the upper position (see
section 3.3.1 "Control panels"
).
4. Raise the right part of the hopper (to UP position, lever 5).
5. Raise the left part of the hopper (to UP position, lever 6).
6. Check the clearance between the left and right part of the feed hopper, before you proceed.
7. Move both feed hopper modules all the way to their IN position (lever 3 and 4).
8. The hydraulic jack stands can now be operated. Retract the hydraulic jack stands left and right front
(lever 4 and 5).
9. Ensure that the tiliting part of the drawbar is in float position.
10. Continue with jack stand left and right rear (lever 1 and 2).
11. Swing the drawbar back to transport (mid) position.
12. Ensure that the locking device is engaged.
13. Fold the stairs into transport position, according to instructions given in
.
14. Disengage the main power switch.
15. Rotate the wrapping arms to their transport position. See illustration in
16. Connect the el-cable and hoses for hydraulic/pneumatic brakes to the tractor.
17. Ensure that parking brake is disengaged.
18. Check the road lights and brakes before driving.
19. Ensure that film roller storages, covers and hatches are all closed and secured.
