1. Description and main characteristics
cms
.21 is a non-walk-in type switching substation with
prefabricated single-block concrete enclosure, for surface
installation. Manufactured serially, tested, equipped,
supplied and transported from the factory as a unit.
It is designed in accordance with the requirements of
Standards IEC 62271-200 and IEC 62271-202, for installation
in electrical distribution grids for rated voltage (U
s
) of up
to 40.5 kV in three-phase alternating current. Its reduced
weight and dimensions enable easy handling and transport.
As an option,
cms
.21 can be supplied tried and tested to internal
arc, with classification IAC-AB 16 kA 0.5 s or with classification
IAC-AB 20 kA 1s, in accordance with Standard IEC 62271-202.

metal enclosure for alternating current with rated voltages
of up to 40.5 kV by

. The equipment can
optionally include a compact remote control unit for all local
and remote control functions (remote control, sectionaliser,
earth-fault detection, automatic transfer, etc.).
