ORTECH reserves the right to modify at any time, without notice,
any or all of our product's
features, designs, components and specifications to meet market changes.
Servicing of the unit is required 3-4 times a year.
Besides general cleaning, the following operations are required:
1)
Filter Maintenance (3-4 times a year)
Dirty filters increase air resistance in the system and reduce supply
air flow to the premises. Clean or replace the filters as often as
required, but at least 3-4 times a year. Clean the filter with running
water or a vacuum cleaner
2)
Heat Recovery core maintenance (once a year)
Some dust can get accumulated on the recovery core block even if
you clean or replace the filters regularly in compliance with above
procedure. To maintain the high heat exchange efficiency, regular
cleaning is required.
To clean the energy recovery core of the unit, pull it out of the unit
and clean it with a vacuum cleaner. The core can be water clean but
DO NOT sharp objects, abrasive detergents and aggressive solvents
to prevent the heat recovery core damage. Make sure that the
energy recovery core is dry and re-install it back inside the unit
3)
Fan Maintenance (once a year)
Even if you perform regular maintenance of the filters and the heat
recovery core, some dust and grease can get accumulated inside
the fans and reduce the fan performance and supply air flow. Clean
the fans with a soft brush or dry cloth. No water and abrasive
detergent, sharp objects or solvents are allowed for cleaning to
prevent the impeller damage
4)
Supply Air Flow Inspection (twice a year)
Leave and other objects can clog the intake grille and decrease the
unit performance and supply air flow. Check the intake grille twice a
year and clean it if required
5)
Air Ductwork maintenance (once in five years)
Even if you fulfill all the above maintenance guidelines regularly, a
certain amount of dust is accumulated inside air ducts. That
reduces the ventilation system performance. Clean or replace the
air ducts periodically
