3.9 OFS 200CW Interconnecting Cables
The OFS 200CW and CW cables are connected as
shown in Figures 3.22 and 3.23.
The Receiver Cable 1910-217 supplies DC power to
the receiver electronics, and signal data to the
Digital Signal Processor (DSP) in the control unit.
This cable connects to the receiver circuit board and
TB2 of the control unit interface board.
The AGC Cable 1910-810 (-CW models) carries a
signal voltage to the Automatic Gain Control (AGC)
circuitry on the transmitter driver board. It connects
directly to the circuit boards in both units as shown in
Figures 3.24 and 3.25. The signal voltage varies with
the received light beam strength to step up or reduce
transmitter power.
Note this cable may be disconnected during
alignment procedures so that the transmitter
operates at full power, and re-connected once
alignment is satisfactory [See Section 7 Optical
Alignment].
