2.11 Power on Computer
To effectively use your OSS chassis as part of your computer system, ensure that all the proper connections are made. Then power on your
computer.
2.12 Hardware Check
Check inside the expansion unit and verify all LEDs are correctly illuminated. An operational expansion chassis will show the following LEDs lit
on the backplane, Host and Expansion Interface cards.
Interface and Expansion cards operating normally will show up with 8 Solid Green LEDs (see picture below). Reset is de-asserted, LED D5 is
turned off.
15 Solid Green LEDs on the backplane are illuminated (see picture below).
Check LED "PORT 0 - D9" status, see if it is illuminated solid green or blinking fast. Go to page 41 for LED status descriptions.
1 solid Blue LED is illuminated on the front panel (see picture below).
2.12.1 Check and verify Expansion and Host Cards LEDs
The picture below shows the number of Solid Green LEDS that are illuminated on the Expansion Interface card when operating normally.
