PCIe HW Verification
9.1 Verify PCIe Hardware
After the system is powered up, check inside the unit and pay attention on the slot LEDs. You should see all LEDs are illuminated (see pictures
below). This is an indication that a card in the slot is recognized and detected. Depending on the type of PCIe card that is present in the slot will
dictate the LED behavior. If there is no card present in the slot, the slot LED will be OFF.
After the host computer is powered UP, the Target LED on the backplane will come up as solid green.
9.1.1 Target SLOT LINK LED
9.1.2 Slot LINK LEDs and AUX LED
The SLOT Link LED will come ON if a PCIe card is occupying the slot.
The AUX LED will be lit as solid green
9.1.3 Slot LED Status indicators
Solid = Gen4 Link
Blink 2Hz = Gen3 Link
Blink 1Hz = Gen2 Link
Blink 0.5Hz = Gen1 Link (Slow Blinking)
OFF = No card installed
Check the LINK LEDs on both Host and Target cards, go to Chapter 4 for more information.
