IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed,

including the following:

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE

•  Check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponding to the local

mains voltage before you connect the appliance. For Mainland China,

standard electrical outlet is 220V~50Hz.

•  To disconnect, grasp plug and unplug cord from electrical outlet.
•  To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or motor

base in water or any other liquids. Do not put the appliance in the dishwasher.

•  Always use the product on a clean, flat, hard, dry surface. There should be

no material such as a tablecloth or plastic between the unit and surface.

•  Avoid any contact with blades or moveable parts.
•  Keep hands and utensils out of jar while blending to reduce the risk of:

– severe personal injury.

– damage to the blender.

•  If scraping is necessary, ensure the blender is “OFF”, unplug from the

electrical outlet, and use a rubber spatula only.

•  Do not use the appliance:

– with a damaged cord or plug.

– after the unit fails to work correctly.

– after you drop or damage the product in any way.

To avoid any hazards, call the Consumer Service number as listed on the

back of this user manual, and return the appliance to the nearest Authorized

Service Center for examination, repair or electrical mechanical adjustment.

•  The blade is sharp. Handle it carefully. To reduce the risk of injury, never

place the blade assembly on the base without a jar properly attached.

•  Always put the lid on the jar before operating the blender. The blender is fitted

with a safety switch to prevent the motor operating unless the lid is in place.

•  Lift and open the lid or removable measuring cup carefully to avoid high

temperature steam.

•  Do not place the appliance on or near a hot gas flame, electric element or

on a heated oven. Do not place on top of any other appliance.

•  Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces or hang over the edge of a

table or counter.

•  Turn OFF the blender and unplug the blender when it is not in use, before

taking off or putting on parts, and before cleaning.

•  Never move your appliance if it contains anything hot. If the glass jar contains

hot liquid, pour it out carefully. Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the

blender as it can be ejected out of the appliance due to a sudden steaming.

•  Do not touch surfaces of steam compartments. It is hot. Do not operate the

appliance near wall or cabinet to prevent damage from steam.

•  Do not operate the appliance when the jar is empty.

•  Never put non-food items into the jar to blend.
•  Do not insert a spatula or spoon by the hole of the measuring cup on the

lid, during a heater or blending cycle.

•  Do not add cool or cold water in the jar after a warm cycle, to avoid

thermal shock.

•  The blade is very sharp, use caution when handing the blade, Do not

attempt to disassemble the blade assembly and touch any rotating parts.

•  Never leave the appliance unattended while it is running.
•  The use of attachments, including canning or ordinary jar and processing

assembly parts, is not recommended by the manufacturer and may cause

risk of fire or electric shock or injury to persons.

•  Do not use the appliance for any purpose other than its intended use.
•  Do not use outdoors.
•  Appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer

or separate remote control system.

•  This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with

reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and

knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning

use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be

supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
