Connecting through ear level adaptors
Several ear level cochlear implant processors have a dedicated
adaptor to connect the receiver to either directly or via a DAI cable.
As the CI processors, speech coils can cause interference, it may
be necessary to deactivate or disconnect the speech coil in order to
perform wireless synchronisation or programming. The interference
level can vary dependant on what mapping is used in the processor.
The adaptor has its own battery source and can also be used for
powering receivers when programming them. This way it is not
necessary to disconnect the speech coil or removing the ear level
processor during programming.
Please refer to the Amigo CI fi tting guides as well as the user guide
for the individual CI processor for detailed CI fi tting information.
