9.8 Working description Over speed Governor (OSG) Type 87
When the over speed governor is installed on the lift, dipswitch 1 needs to be in on position.
(If the dipswitch is off and the Count hammer moves, the lift will give ERROR P in the display.)
Working description:
The Drive wheel is friction driven and rotates when the lift moves over the rail.
This wheel triggers the count-hammer 4 times per rotation.
The triggering is monitored by the optical switch. (RMU)
If this trigger does not occur for approximately 30cm of travel, the lift will stop.
The display on the main PCB will show error P.
(when re-controlling the error will be resetted and the movement of the lift can be continued)
At nominal speed the hammer (balanced by a metal spring) is returned to its original position, so it
can be triggered again. When the drive wheel gets overspeed the hammer hooks into this wheel.
When this happens the gripper moves into the rail.
Before gripping into rail the catch-contact is already activated.
The catch-contact breaks the safety-line, so further movement by motor is prevented.
The display on the main PCB will shows 8888y when the catch contact is activated.
1.
Count-hammer moves in optical switch and interrupts the switch every movement.
2.
Gripper grips the rail when there is overspeed.
3.
Drive wheel is friction driven and makes the count hammer move.
4.
Set/Reset Catch moves the Catch into the rail if there is over speed, but is also used for
manually resetting the Catch.
5.
When the Catch-contact is operated (contact open), the lift will stop and give the error 8888 Y
in the display and LED2 on the main PCB will off.
(Switch is connected to x9b)
6.
The RMU is an optical switch which is interrupted by the count-hammer.
Interrupted signal is logic ‘0’ non- interrupted is logic ‘1’.
The movement of the count-hammer will result in a pulsed signal.
If the there is no pulse for 30cm of movement the lift will stop.
