4.9.3.2 Replacing the drive wheel suspension system
NOTICE
Incorrect dimensioning of the suspensions
Damage to the suspensions and the product

Only replace the suspensions with approved suspensions of the same type (see Page 72).
INFORMATION
The drive wheel swing arm is connected to the caster wheel swing arm suspension. To replace this suspension,
observe the instructions on Page 67.

Prerequisites:
Optional: Move the seat to the lowest seat height (see Page 15).
Switch off the control device and deactivate the main fuse (see Page 15).
If necessary: remove the leg supports.
Jack up the wheelchair (see Page 14).

Tools: 2x Allen wrench size 5; Allen wrench size 6; torque wrench with Allen insert size 5, 6
Removing the drive wheel suspension system
1) Remove the drive wheel (see Page 45).
2) Remove the drive wheel splash guard (see Page 51).
3) Loosen and remove the screw with sleeve nut and disc spring between the drive wheel swing arm and caster
wheel swing arm suspension (see Fig. 99, item 1).
4) Carefully and slowly guide the caster wheel swing arm and drive wheel swing arm downwards.
5) Loosen the screw next to the suspension to release the suspension axle (see Fig. 100, item 1).
6) Loosen and remove the screw with 1 spacer sleeve between the suspension and the drive wheel swing arm (see
Fig. 86, item 2).
7) Loosen and remove the screw with 1 washer on the axle of the suspension (see Fig. 101/102, item 1).

Pull the suspension with spacer washer down and off the axle.
Installing the drive wheel suspension system
1) Slide the suspension with spacer washer onto the axle according to the original installed position (see Fig. 102,
item 2).

5) Carefully guide the caster wheel swing arm and drive wheel swing arm upwards.
6) Insert the screw with sleeve nut and disc spring between the drive wheel swing arm and caster wheel swing arm

7) Attach the drive wheel splash guard (see Page 51).
8) Attach the drive wheel (see Page 45).
