Risk of injury as a result of improper transpor-
tation!
The seats installed in the motor vehicle along
with the corresponding vehicle restraint sys-
tems offer passengers ideal protection in the
event of an accident. Only in exceptional cases
and only when using the safety elements and
restraint systems offered by Otto Bock should
the B500 power wheelchair be used as a seat
in motor vehicles for the disabled. For more in-
formation, please refer to our brochure “Using
your Wheelchair/ Mobility Base with Seating
Shell or Buggy/Stroller for Transportation in
Motor Vehicles”, order no. 646D158.

Risk of injury as a result of not engaging the
locks sufficiently!
Secure the power wheelchair during transport
in another vehicle by sufficiently tightening the
tensioning straps.
The frame of the power wheelchair has 4 fixing eyelets
for the attachment of the tensioning straps.
Before transporting the power wheelchair, switch off the
controls and lock the brake.
You can reduce the size (fig. 2) of the power wheelchair
for transport by folding down the backrest and removing
the side panels and footrests (see section 7.1).
