Operation
To check the batteries, proceed as follows:
nOTE !
When checking the power wheelchair's bat-
teries, make sure the power wheelchair is
standing on level ground.
nOTE !
Before doing any maintenance work on the
batteries, please read the battery manufac-
turer's warnings thoroughly!
1. The seat bottom of the wheelchair must be removed
for maintenance work and for mounting/removing the
batteries.
For this purpose, undo the hook and loop connection
between the backrest and seat bottom and remove
the seat bottom.
2. Undo the snap lock on the safety strap for the
battery case (see fig. 17) and remove the cover.
Once the cover has been removed, you have free
access to the batteries (see fig. 18).

3. Unscrew the caps (see arrow in fig. 18) of the indi-
vidual chambers by using a large screwdriver. You
will be able to see the battery’s liquid level on the acid
level markings.
4. If the liquid is below this marking, top up with distilled
water.
