8.1.6 Preparing Wheelchairs with Back Angle
Adjustment for Transport
To obtain the folding size, the following must be done with
the back angle adjustment:
r
Release the cross bolt at the lower end of the gas
compression spring (by pushing up the lever, see arrow
in fig. 25).
r
Remove the bolt from the holding device.
r
Remove the side panels and fold down the back part
onto the seat bottom.

To put a wheelchair with back angle adjustment into
operation:
r
Unfold the backrest.
r
Insert the cross bolt at the end of the gas compression
spring into the holding device.
r
Push down the lever to lock the bolt (see fig. 25).

Verify that the bolt and lock of the back angle
adjustment are secure!
