Product Description
The B500 power wheelchair is suitable for indoor and
outdoor use. It is compactly designed and easy to
manoeuvre for use indoors. Two 12 V batteries power its
high-performance drive system, which makes it possible
to overcome obstacles (category B of EN 12184) and to
ensure safe operation.
The control unit comprises a control panel for entering
the driving commands and for displaying the current state
of the functions as well as a controller that uses the input
data to control the drive motors and other electric func-
tions. Data transmission is realised via a bus system.
Since the system can be programmed, it is possible to
adapt the control unit to the personal requirements of the
user; e. g. the speed, acceleration and deceleration val-
ues can all be adapted.
The special features of the power wheelchair include:
r
Easy servicing due to good and clear accessibility of
all component groups
r
Customisation through options and special fabrication
with modular components (chassis, seating system,
control unit, accessories)
The modular design of the B500 makes it possible to add
other modules and devices in addition to the main com-
ponents (see fig. 3), e. g. electric seat adjustment, tray,
etc. These options are described in section 8.
The versatility of this power wheelchair and its modular
design make it suitable for patients who have walking
impediments or walking inabilities due to:
r
Paralyses
r
Loss of limbs (lower limb amputation)
r
Defective or deformed limbs

The B500 power wheelchair was specially designed for
