1 Description
1.1 Indications for use
The Cubic Foam and Contour Gel wheelchair seat cushions are to be used exclusively and in
dependence of the degree of severity for decubitus prophylaxis and decubitus therapy for patients
with paraplegia, hemiplegia, neurological deficits, rheumatic nervous and muscle disorders, as
well as for geriatric patients, and are to be used exclusively in a wheelchair�
For hygienic reasons, re-use of the seat cushion or use by another patient is not recommended by
the manufacturer�
1.2 Field of application
The Cubic Foam and Contour Gel seat cushions can be used by patients with a body weight of up
to 150 kg /330 lbs without restrictions�
CAUTION
Risk of redness of the skin/decubitus when exceeding the maximum permissible patient
weight. When exceeding the maximum permissible patient weight, we highly recommend that
the user test the cushion for a few hours under medical supervision, during which time it should
be determined that no reddening of the skin occurs, before using the cushion on a permanent
basis�
1.3 Contraindications
Relative contraindications: Should redness of the skin occur, immediately stop using the seat cush-
ion and consult the treating physician or therapist�
