BEFORE SERVICING:
• Turn off utilities to appliance
• Ensure appliance is completely cooled
Although the frequency of appliance servicing
and maintenance will depend on use and the type
of installation, an authorized service technician
should perform an annual appliance check-up.
Periodic examination of venting systems should
be performed by a qualified agency.
Any safety screen, guard, or barrier removed for
servicing an appliance must be replaced prior to
operating the appliance.
Burner Assembly
Remove screen front and glass access panel, examine logs for
any damage, replace or repair as needed.
Inspect for warping and corrosion. Repair as necessary.
Verify air shutter area is clean. Verify all gas connections are tight
and free of leaks.
Inspect firebox walls, repaint if needed. If any warping or
corrosion is present, ensure there are no holes or leaks.
Clean both sides of the glass front.
DO NOT USE ANY AMMONIA
BASED
products to clean glass. Final clean should be done with
warm water and newspaper to wipe dry.
Ensure the screen is clean and complete.
Make sure the vent cap and vents are clear of any obstructions.
Return glass front and screen to normal operating positions.
Verify inlet and test point pressures. Adjust regulator as required.
