Spare Chassis Instructions

Reinstall the Carriers

CAUTION:  

The drive assembly carriers MUST be reinstalled 

into the same slot they were removed from.

1.

Position a

 carrier

 in front of the 

same slot

 from which it 

was removed.

2.

Using the 

handle

, push the carrier all the way in.

3.

Push the handle back into the carrier until the 

latch

 locks 

(clicks).

4.

Repeat 

Steps 1–3

 for 

all

 remaining carriers.

IMPORTANT:  To maintain proper airflow and cooling, a drive 
assembly or a blank carrier must be installed in 

every

 slot. No 

empty slots are allowed.

Attach the Bezel

Replace the 

bezel

 on the front of the unit by inserting the left 

tabs into the chassis frame and pushing the right side in until 
it latches (clicks).

Attach Cables and Power Cords

1.

Reattach the data 

cables

 to the same connections 

previously used.

2.

Attach the 

power cords

.

Power New Chassis On

1.

Turn the unit on by pressing the 

power button

 once for 

less than a second.

2.

After the unit boots, access it through the 

Web

 

GUI

 to 

verify that it is working properly.
