Cold starting 

1.    Set the ignition switch to 

“On (I)”.

2.    For safety reasons, make 

sure the brake is ON when 

starting. To apply the brake, 

push the chain brake 

forward.

3.    Press the priming bulb up 

to 10 times  

until the bulb is full. 

4.   Pull out the choke (fully 

withdrawn).

Note:

 Pulling out the choke 

opens the throttle valve slightly 

and locks it in that position.

This increases the idle speed, 

and the saw starts faster.

5.   Hold the chainsaw securely 

on the ground and pull out 

the recoil starter until you 

feel it start to resist. Then 

sharply pull the pull starter 

3 times.

6.   Push in the choke lever.

.   Hold the saw firmly and pull out the 

recoil starter until you feel it start to 

resist. Then quickly pull the starter 

several times until the engine starts.

WARNING!

 SINCE THE THROTTLE LEVER 

IS SLIGHTLY OPEN, BRIEFLY ACTUATE THE 

THROTTLE TRIGGER. THIS RELEASES THE 

THROTTLE VALVE AND THE ENGINE RETURNS TO 

IDLE MODE.

Warm starting

1.    Make sure the switch is in 

the ON position.

2.    For safety reasons, make 

sure the brake is ON when 

starting.  

To apply the brake, push 

the chain brake forward.

3.     Hold the chainsaw 

securely on the ground 

and pull out the recoil 

starter until you feel it start 

to resist. Then sharply pull 

the pull starter until the 

engine starts.

Stopping the chainsaw

1.  Engage chain brake.

2.   Set the ignition switch to 

OFF “O”.
