Data Logging Guide, Model C16
4
Data Logging:
Key Functions:
Clear (CLEAR)
The Clear function clears the data logged memory from the device. This also resets
the amount of sampling time remaining to the maximum value allowed. Any data logged samples
not yet downloaded through the follow process will be lost using this function.
Interval (INT)
The Interval setting tells the device when to take samples of data, 1, 5, 10, or 15
minutes. The maximum sampling capacity capable of each interval is shown in the table below.
Recommended Materials:
Software: C16 Log application as noted on the previous page of this document.
Cabling: RS232-to-USB Adapter (unless the computer has a RS232 port) to connect to the RS232
cable that was included with the C16 monitor.
Computer: A computer running Windows 7 or 8, 32 or 64 bit. Other operating systems will work
with the software, back to Windows XP, however due to additions to the software it is
recommended that Windows 7 or 8 be used.
Before logging: Time Adjustment
The time on the C16 monitor may be incorrect, so it is good practice to connect the monitor
to the computer using the steps on pages 6 and 7. Upon opening the software, it will notify you if
the time is incorrect, if no error message is received the time is correct and the monitor is ready
for logging.
