If the wind is light (less than 12 kph) lay trailing
edge directly into the wind with snow/weight
along the trailing edge to secure the kite.
Connect the Quick Release and Kite Leash.
Place yourself directly in front of the kite. Step
backwards while pushing the bar forward.
The kite will inflate and take off. In light winds,
to assist launching, gently grab and pull on
the front lines.
If the wind is strong (more than 12 kph), lay
the kite directly downwind with snow/weight
securing the upwind tip. Connect the Quick
Release and Kite Leash. Place yourself at 45 deg
to the kite upwind. Step backwards while gently
pulling the down wind side of the bar to ease kite
into the air. Allow the kite to inflate and then steer
up off the ground. Keep it low at the side of the
wind window.
