Cleaning of air filter
A dirty air filter can make it difficult to start the compactor and can also cause the
compactor to lose power or cause engine faults and considerably shorten the engine’s
lifetime. Therefore, keep the air filter clean at all times.
Foam element
Filter element
Take out the filter element and clean it by tapping off loose dirt and blow it clean with
compressed air if necessary.
Remove the foam element and wash it in kerosene or diesel oil. Next, saturate it in a
mixture of three parts kerosene or diesel oil and one part engine oil. Squeeze the
filter to remove the mixture and then fit it to the air filter.
Servicing the spark plug
Remove the spark plug, clean and adjust the electrode gap
to 0.6–0.7 mm
