Daily inspection
This section describes the daily inspection that should be carried out before using the
pallet truck. The daily inspection is a good way to find malfunctions and faults on the
pallet truck and can extend the life of the equipment. Remove any load and lower the
forks to the lowest position before completing the following checks.
Do not use the pallet truck if any faults are found.
•
Visual check for structural deformation or cracks and unusual noises or binding of the
lifting mechanism.
•
Check for oil leaks.
•
Check the vertical travel of the lifting mechanism.
•
Check if the wheels run smoothly.
•
Check the wheels for dirt or damage.
•
Check that all bolts and nuts are tight.
•
Check that all labels are in place.
