Maintenance
WARNING
All forms of repair, adjustment, lubrication and cleaning of the machine may
only be carried out after the machine has been switched off and the spark
plug lead has been disconnected.
The machine must be maintained properly and at regular intervals to keep it in a good
and reliable working condition for as long as possible.
Follow the user manual's recommendations for maintenance and adjustment. It is
recommended to record the number of operating hours and operating conditions
under which the machine has been used in order to adapt the maintenance intervals
to conditions. If you are not sure that your technical skills are sufficient to the task,
then it is always recommended that you take the machine to an authorised workshop
for maintenance.
Due to the machine’s weight, it is recommended that two people together carry out
maintenance and adjustment tasks on the machine.
Blade replacement and sharpening
If the cutting surfaces of the blades are worn or damaged, the machine may start to
vibrate unusually - the blades must therefore be sharpened or replaced if necessary.
The machine must be placed on a firm and stable surface and must be secured in
such a way that the blades are accessible and there is no risk of the machine suddenly
moving unintentionally.
Exercise extreme caution when removing the blades. The blades are very sharp. It is
advised to use safety gloves.
The engine must be switched off and the spark plug removed before replacing the
blades!
The individual blades are removed by removing the bolt in the bracket:
