1.
Start the engine - follow the instructions in the engine section.
2.
Set the throttle to max. If the engine is cold, let it warm up for about a minute at
maximum speed.
3.
Keep a firm grip of the left handle while slowly engaging the blades using the handle
on the right side of the handlebar. Press it up to 2/3 down, so that the blades start
rotating and the motor does not stall.
When the machine starts to rotate, the drive belt may partially slip, and unusual
whistling and rattling noises may occur - these stop as soon as the drive belt has
properly engaged.
4.
Once the blades begin to rotate, press the lever all the way down and hold it securely
in this position.
NOTICE: A new or cold engine may stall several times when taken into use. This
will cease to happen as soon as the engine has warmed up.
Moving forward
The forward drive is engaged via a handle on the left side of the handlebar. When the
handle down is pressed down against the handlebar, the machine will immediately
move forward. So be ready for the machine to start moving forward slowly! The
machine can start with a slight jerk sometimes. So be prepared for this.
Before starting
Ensure that you have cleared the work area of hazardous material, for example,
stones, wires, debris and other items that can be ejected by the machine and which
pose a hazard to the machine and people in the vicinity of the machine. If hazardous
material cannot be removed from the work area, use of the machine is not
recommended.
