Cleaning
When cleaning the machine, always comply with applicable laws and regulations
regarding environmental rules on waste water disposal.
Never wash the machine with steam or high-pressure cleaners otherwise this may
damage electrical components and make it difficult to start the engine afterwards.
All soil, dirt and plant residues should be removed from the machine at the end of the
season. Check the blades for wear and damage. Sharpen the blades or replace if
necessary and give the blades a protective coat of oil. The wheels should be removed
from the axle and thoroughly cleaned. Lubricated the hub with a suitable grease.
The engine must be switched off and the spark plug lead removed.
Storage
Before the machine is stored away for a longer period of time, it must be thoroughly
cleaned as described above. Any damage to the painted surfaces must be repaired.
It is advisable to apply protective oil onto the blades and to drain the petrol from the
tank and carburettor.
Make sure that no unauthorised person has access to the machine.
Protect the machine from the effects of the weather but do not use airtight packing,
as this may lead to an increased risk of rusting.
Transport
During transport, the machine must be upright and securely fastened. There must not
be any petrol in the tank, or alternatively, the fuel cock must be closed.
Disposal
The machine and its parts and packaging must be disposed of in accordance with
local applicable regulations and guidelines.
