Safety Instructions
The following section deals with aspects of safety in connection with the start-up, use,
maintenance and repair of the equipment. The warning triangle refers to a general
warning and the danger symbols refer to specific risks in connection with procedures.
Always take extra care and read the instructions thoroughly.
Fire and explosion hazard
•
Use only non-flammable or water-based or oil-based materials or
non-flammable thinners. Do not use materials with a flash point
below 38
o
. This includes, but is not limited to, acetone, xylene,
toluene or naphtha.
•
Always observe the applicable local laws and regulations.
•
Read the instruction manual thoroughly and use common sense.
•
The equipment is not suitable for use in explosive atmospheres or
in hazardous environments.
•
Do not spray flammable materials near naked flames or other
ignition sources such as cigarettes, engines or electrical
equipment.
•
Do not spray flammable materials in enclosed spaces.
•
Paints or solvents which flow through the equipment can
generate static electricity which may cause fire or explosion in
connection with vapours from paints or solvents. Make sure all
parts of the system have a good earth connection, including the
pump, hose connections, spray gun and objects which come into
contact with the equipment. Do not use inserts that are not anti-
static.
•
Connect the equipment to an earthed outlet and make sure that
extension leads are earthed.
•
Do not use paint containing halogenated hydrocarbons.
•
Keep the working area well ventilated. Make sure there is good ventilation.
